Mark Dykewicz, MD

Dr. Mark Dykewicz is a physician, educator, researcher, consultant and author, known nationally for expertise in the field of allergy and immunology. As a SLUCare specialist, Dr. Dykewicz treats asthma, rhinitis and sinusitis, as well as allergies to food, drugs and stinging insects, including reactions such as anaphylaxis and hives.

Dr. Dykewicz is the Raymond and Alberta Slavin Endowed Professor in Allergy and Immunology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He also directs the fellowship program in the Section of Allergy and Immunology.

Previously, Dr. Dykewicz served as chair of the FDA's Pulmonary Allergy Drug Advisory Committee and is currently an FDA advisor. He has authored/co-authored more than 170 publications including national and international clinical care guidelines, and been cited more than 17,000 times by other experts and researchers. He is active in numerous professional organizations and has overseen the safety of national vaccine trials.
