Lauren Smith, MPA, PA-C specializes in Sports Medicine and brings advanced training to her practice, including formal post-graduate orthopedic physician assistant residency training and a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. She cares for pediatric patients ages 6 and older as well as adults throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area.

Lauren treats a wide range of sports-related injuries and musculoskeletal conditions affecting the shoulders, elbows, hips, hamstrings, quadriceps, knees, and ankles. She also cares for patients with acute and chronic injuries, osteoarthritis, fractures, and pain related to sports and physical activity.

Her practice includes joint and tendon injections, fracture management, injury evaluation, rehabilitation guidance, and injury prevention strategies. Lauren is passionate about helping patients return to the activities they enjoy while promoting long-term health and wellness.

Lauren's approach to care centers on educating patients about their diagnosis, recovery process, and ways to prevent future injuries. Her mission is to empower patients with the knowledge they need to actively participate in their treatment and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle.

Lauren Smith is proud to serve in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Division of Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) and Physician Associates in Orthopaedic Surgery (PAOS).

Outside of work, Lauren prioritizes a healthy and active lifestyle. She enjoys CrossFit, running, biking, hiking, traveling, and exploring the outdoors.
