I am very grateful to Dr Van Why for her excellent. Dermatology health is critical to me due to inherited frail skin & a history of repeated severe sunburns from early childhood through young adulthood. She has routinely found both cancerous & precancerous issues overlooked by other professionals. She is outstanding.

Even though she is way over worked she never appears rushed. She devotes all her attention to whom ever she is treating. It is a shame that SSM cannot find another Dermatologist for the staff. When there is a waiting list of 1200 you know there is a serious issue.

Again, Laura Van Why was very professional and I would highly recommend her, however, not many people will want to wait 8 months to get in and see her. Also, I did ask to be put on a cancellation list and during the 8 months waiting period, I never rec'd a call that there was a cancellation.

Great medical care and very friendly. My only regret is that she’s too busy and getting in to see her is difficult. I had to wait 3 months for my initial appointment and 2 months for my procedure.

I had melanoma about eleven years ago, sucessfully removed. I see Dr van why yearly for a complete body check. as you may suspect this could be difficult for us older women but she and I visit while she's doing it and she's so professinal I am just relieved to have her in my list of providers!!
