Kara Rusy, APNP-CNP

Kara Lee Rusy is a board certified nurse practitioner for neurosurgery. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. She also earned master's degrees as an Adult Nurse Practitioner and a Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

Rusy specializes in general neurosurgery, cerebrovascular surgery, complex spine surgery and peripheral neurosurgery. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber. She is also a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.

Prior her to her time with SSM Health, Rusy was an Assistant Professor in nursing at the University of Utah.

Rusy, the parent of two beautiful girls, enjoys travel in the US and abroad, running, skiing, tennis, biking, triathlons and doing P90X.
