John Bedwinek, MD

Dr. Bedwinek is a board-certified radiation oncologist. He joined SSM Health Cancer Care in 2010 and is one of the physicians on staff at St. Louis CyberKnife. Dr. Bedwinek graduated from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, served his residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and subsequently was awarded a fellowship to M.D. Anderson Hospital. His academic appointments include an Associate Professor of Radiology at Washington University School of Medicine and Clinical Professor of Radiation Oncology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

He has served as secretary and member of the Board of Directors of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology and was past President of the Missouri Radiologic Society. Dr. Bedwinek specializes in CyberKnife treatment as well as prostate cancer and has authored over 60 articles and book chapters.

He has been on the America's Best Doctors list every year from 1997-2019. He has also received the honored title of Fellow by three separate scientific organizations, American College of Radiology, American College of Radiation Oncology and American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology. He is originally from Wheeling, West Virginia.
