Board certified in interventional cardiology, HeeKong Fong, MD, FACC, FSCAI, discovered his passion for healthcare at an early age, influenced by his love for karate. During a pivotal moment at a high school tournament, he experienced concerning symptoms like shortness of breath, dizziness and palpitations, which led him to seek medical attention. The compassionate care he received from his cardiologist, who recommended a catheter ablation procedure, not only successfully treated his arrhythmia but also left an indelible impression, inspiring him to become a doctor. Dr. Fong is dedicated to extending the same level of care and commitment to his patients as he would to his own family.

Dr. Fong's educational journey began at Taylor's University College in Malaysia, followed by his prestigious medical education at Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India. He furthered his training by completing an internal medicine residency at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Driven by his passion for cardiology, he pursued advanced training, including a Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California, and an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at St. Luke's Mid America Heart Institute in Kansas City, Missouri; both institutions consistently ranked among the best U.S. hospitals for cardiology. Throughout his career, Dr. Fong's commitment to advancing the field of cardiology is evident through numerous publications.

Fluent in four languages, including English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Malay, Dr. Fong is able to connect with a diverse range of patients, facilitating clear communication and providing personalized care. Additionally, Dr. Fong is certified as an interpreter in Chinese, Cantonese & Mandarin.
