Dr. Rangrass' clinical interests include quality improvement; patient safety; transplant anesthesia; multivisceral organ transplantation and simultaneous cardiothoracic surgery; anesthesia for complex abdominal surgery; and neuroendocrine tumors regional anesthesia. He is also a perioperative medicine outcomes researcher, actively pursuing outcomes database projects examining organ transplantation and racial and ethnic health disparities.
Dr. Rangrass is an associate professor in the Department of Anesthesiology with Saint Louis University School of Medicine; critical care director of Quality Improvement; and patient safety director of Transplant Anesthesia. He is a member of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement; American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Committee on Transplant Anesthesia; ASA Committee on Patient Safety; and the United Network of Organ Sharing.
