Ghulam Murtaza is a board certified cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgeon. He earned his medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan and completed his internship in general surgery at Harlem Hospital Center - Columbia University in New York, NY. Dr. Murtaza completed his residency in general surgery at Michigan State University in Lansing, MI and his fellowship in integrated thoracic surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI.

Dr. Murtaza is board certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.

Murtaza's practice is focused on performing procedures that include transcatheter aortic valve replacement, coronary artery bypass grafting, aortic valve replacement, aortic aneurysm surgery, lung cancer surgery, minimally invasive thoracic surgery, esophageal cancer surgery, mitral valve surgery, robotic surgery, and atrial fibrillation surgery.
