Gavin Hautala, MD Orthopedic Surgery in Fond Du Lac, WI

Dr. Gavin Hautala specializes in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries. Some of the most common include ACL tears, meniscus tears, shoulder instability, rotator cuff tears, and arthritis of the shoulder, hip, and knee.

Dr. Hautala earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Kentucky. He also completed a Sports Medicine fellowship at TRIA Orthopaedics and the University of Minnesota, where he took care of the Minnesota Gophers football team and learned from the team physicians of the Minnesota Wild and Minnesota Twins.

Dr. Hautala takes a collaborative approach to patient care. He believes in establishing a clear diagnosis and ensuring community members have a thorough understanding of their condition. From there, he discusses all available treatment options, including non-surgical approaches.

A native of Pittsville, Wisconsin, Dr. Hautala enjoys traveling, exploring vinyl record shops, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, and taking walks with his wife and their dog, Franklin, when he is not caring for patients.
