Duncan McHardy, APRN-CNP, is a certified nurse practitioner with expertise in shoulder and elbow orthopedic care. He provides compassionate, specialized treatment for patients of all ages, from infants to older adults, throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area.
He offers comprehensive treatment for fractures, tendon and ligament injuries, and provides both non-operative and operative planning for musculoskeletal conditions. Duncan also performs shoulder, elbow, and knee injections to help relieve pain and restore mobility. His clinical interests include sports medicine, pediatric orthopedics, and general orthopedics, with a strong focus on helping patients recover from injuries and return to the activities they enjoy.
Duncan believes in working closely with each patient to achieve the best possible outcomes. He strives to be a collaborative partner with each patient to help them achieve their health goals and recover from their musculoskeletal ailments.
Duncan serves in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Division of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Missouri Board of Nursing, the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and the American Heart Association.
Outside of his clinical work, Duncan enjoys exploring St. Louis with his wife and daughter, discovering new restaurants, parks, and attractions. A fun fact about him: he was a collegiate swimmer and water polo player.
