David Ebertz, MD Vascular Surgery in St. Louis, MO

Dr. David Ebertz is a vascular and endovascular surgeon who cares for patients of all ages throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area. He provides emergent, urgent, and elective care for a wide range of vascular conditions, including carotid artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms and dissections, and dialysis access needs.

Dr. Ebertz offers both traditional open surgical procedures and minimally invasive endovascular treatments tailored to each patient's condition. His expertise includes advanced treatment of aortic aneurysms and dissections, including EVAR, TEVAR, fenestrated repairs, branched device procedures, and physician-modified endografts. He also performs procedures for peripheral arterial disease, including bypass surgery, endarterectomy, balloon angioplasty, and stenting, with a focus on limb salvage and preventing amputation. In addition, he performs carotid endarterectomy and transcarotid artery revascularization (TCAR) for patients at risk of stroke, and creates and maintains dialysis access, including fistulas, grafts, and peritoneal dialysis catheters.

Dr. Ebertz's mission is to provide individualized, patient-focused care and to treat every patient with the same compassion and attention he would offer family and friends.

His current and future research interests focus on aortic aneurysms, aortic dissections, thoracoabdominal aneurysms and dissections, peripheral arterial disease, and carotid artery disease related to stroke risk.

Dr. Ebertz is an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular Surgery at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He is a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery and the Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Society. He also serves as a reviewer for peer-reviewed journals.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Ebertz has a strong background in musical theater, including acting, singing, and producing musicals. He also enjoys outdoor adventures, camping, exploring national parks, solving puzzles, tackling math problems, and playing complex games with family and friends while continuing to learn something new every day.
