Christopher Lawrance, MD

Dr. Christopher Lawrance is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon who treats adult patients ages 18 and older. He specializes in general cardiac surgery, including coronary artery bypass grafting for coronary disease; surgical cardiac ablation for atrial fibrillation; mechanical circulatory support (e.g. ECMO, Impella) for high-risk cardiac surgery and/or cardiogenic shock; TAVR/valvular surgery; aortic surgery for aneurysms and aortic dissections; and pacemaker implantation.

Dr. Lawrance values the significant trust and confidence his patients place in him to surgically treat their heart disease, while also allowing him to educate and comfort them during a particularly stressful time in their lives.

Dr. Lawrance is an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons; Southern Thoracic Surgical Association; and Extracorporeal Life Support Organization.
