*I want my patients to think of me as a friend who desperately wants to help make things better, no matter what tough circumstance we are facing. I have some pretty fancy tools to make a difference in their lives, but, together, we have to make sure we are using those fancy tools to make a positive difference. This means I have to work to understand where my patients have been and what they want in their lives. When we do this together, most of the tough medical decisions become amazingly clear. This is the heart of every decision doctors and patients make together. We both want to make things better, to make things right.* - Christopher Baggott, MD
