Catalina Belean, MD

Dr. Catalina Belean is a psychiatrist specializing in assessment and management of adult patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Her areas of expertise include psychotic disorders, such as schizophrenia, and mood disorders including major depressive disorder and bipolar disorder.

In her practice, she is dedicated to addressing the needs of the inner city population, including homelessness, poor access to services and noncompliance with medication.

Dr. Belean is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

She is passionate about teaching, supervising and mentoring the next generation of clinicians and has received numerous teaching awards. Additionally, she was honored with the Caring Physician Award in 2015.
