This is feedback for SSM Health only. I know it takes 2 years to schedule an ANNUAL exam with Dr. Mccullough. I get it, she's a great doctor. Because I know it takes so long to schedule with her I made a point to schedule my next exam with her in advanced. When I left my appointment yesterday I was informed that appointment had been cancelled due to her not being in during that time. I was not notified my appointment was cancelled at all. In the past if an appointment had been cancelled we, the patients, would be called to inform us and able to reschedule. I was told her next availability was November 2027 instead of the initial February 2027 I was scheduled for. The receptionist said she would give send back a note and someone would give me a call. I did receive a call this morning and able to reschedule for February 2027 which I appreciated. However, I do not appreciate not receiving a phone call to reschedule especially considering how long the waitlist is. I understand the want to automate things, however, not informing your patients (customers) that their appointment was cancelled is not a good practice. Continuing the practice of not notifying your patients (even if done via a letter that they may not see) could be damaging to a patients health if it's found that something could have been caught earlier but wasn't due to SSM's practice of not informing patients of cancelled appointments.

I just don't expect much from SSM Health due to previous experiences with other staff. I think Brita will be fine to work with polite and knowledgeable, but due to other experiences with SSM Health I feel like I've had to lower my standards in general.

She and I talked about future adjustments to my medication.

My appointment with Dr. McCullough was outstanding. I will always like to mention that to her nurse, Samantha, was very kind and reassuring, as well. The employees at the reception desk were very accommodating. There was literally no wait time for this appointment which was amazing.
