Ayham Alkarmi, MD

Dr. Ayham Alkarmi specializes in general otolaryngology (ENT) and rhinology for patients of all ages. He treats various conditions, including sinus disease and mouth breathing, employing non-surgical and surgical treatment options. He is skilled in minimally invasive sinus surgery technique (MIST) to treat chronic rhinosinusitis, aiming to preserve as much healthy tissue as possible. He also offers sleep medicine services to address issues such as snoring, sleep apnea, and insomnia.

Dr. Alkarmi's goal is to improve quality of life for his patients; alleviate their suffering; and guide them back to health. He develops and validates patient-reported outcome measures to assess the impact of treatments on his patients. He also recognizes the transformative powers of surgery to restore hearing, alleviate chronic sinusitis, or correct a cleft palate.

Dr. Alkarmi is an assistant professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
