Dr. Asma Moheet is a neurologist, specializing in the management of acute neurologic and cerebrovascular emergencies including, stroke, transient ischemic attack (TIA), concussions, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and prolonged seizures. She provides inpatient neurology and neurocritical care for adults, and is focused on delivering the right care at the right time for her patients.
With a background in health delivery science, Dr. Moheet is passionate about improving systems and communication to ensure patients receive timely, effective treatment during life-altering neurological events. Her research interests include quality improvement, care optimization, and effective communication in critical care settings.
Dr. Moheet is a professor with the Division of Neurocritical Care, Department of Neurology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine and director of the neurology residency program. She is a former board member of the Neurocritical Care Society, Senior Editor of The Pocket Guide to Neurocritical Care, and a reviewer for several medical journals. She is deeply committed to medical education and leads the Neurology Residency Program at Saint Louis University.
Originally from St. Louis, Dr. Moheet has returned home after 27 years and is proud to serve her community. Outside of medicine, she is a St. Louis Blues fan, a music enthusiast who plays the flute, and enjoys hiking in her free time.
