Anh Le, MD

Dr. Anh Le is a board‑certified cardiothoracic surgeon who cares for adult patients ages 18 and older and sees patients throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area. She specializes in the surgical treatment of complex heart conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart valve disease, heart rhythm disorders, and aortic disease.

Dr. Le offers a wide range of advanced cardiac procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting; surgical and transcatheter treatment of valvular heart disease; ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation); Impella‑supported cardiac surgery; pulmonary endarterectomy; septal myectomy; surgical ablation for arrhythmias; and aortic surgery. She is experienced in caring for patients with complex and high‑risk cardiac conditions and uses advanced technologies to support patients before, during, and after surgery.

Her research interests focus on improving recovery after heart surgery through Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols, as well as participating in clinical trials involving transcatheter heart valves and mechanical support devices for patients with heart failure.

Dr. Le is an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She also serves as the assistant program director of the cardiothoracic surgery fellowship program and is the cardiac surgery clerkship director, helping educate and train future surgeons.

She is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
