Alex Wood is a certified physician assistant who specializes in dermatology for patients ages eight and older. He collaborates with dermatologists to offer the following services: conducting full-body skin exams and skin cancer screenings; diagnosing and treating skin conditions such as acne, warts, and dry skin; ordering and interpreting tests; performing skin biopsies and non-excisional procedures for malignant skin lesions; and cryotherapy.
By practicing medicine, Wood hopes to improve patients' lives. His goal is to give patients the resources they need to promote healthier skin care habits using evidence-based medicine and practices.
Wood works in the Division of Dermatology in the Department of Dermatology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Outside of work, Wood enjoys learning about history and playing tennis and board games.

Seem caring respectful ask me questions about things I wasn't expecting. Unlike a lot of doctors do not. He's thorough and looked at things that I wasn't there for that kind of pertained to the matter at hand.

Very knowledgeable and professional! He explained in detail the diagnosis and treated of each area that required attention and the after care of each. Very pleasant attitude and very thorough with preventative measures to take. Exceptional Experience!!!
