Dr. Afsheen Sherwani is a vascular interventional radiologist who treats a variety of conditions - from uterine fibroids to liver cancer - using minimally invasive procedures through the wrist. This method, known as radial artery access, eases discomfort and allows for faster recovery following the procedure.

Dr. Sherwani treats tumors, traumatic injuries, internal bleeding, blood clots, peripheral arterial disease and more. She sees patients in the hospital and in the SLUCare outpatient clinic for vascular and interventional radiology.

Dr. Sherwani is assistant professor in the Department of Radiology, Division of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
