Sivashanmugam Raju, MD

Dr. Sivashanmugam Raju is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon, caring for children with orthopedic trauma and its aftereffects, including growth arrest and deformities. He sees patients with musculoskeletal conditions, such developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), congenital limb deformities, osteomyelitis and Blount's disease. He uses the latest techniques, including arthroscopic hip surgery and periacetabular osteotomy of the hip.

Dr. Raju has a special interest in hip preservation surgery and sports medicine. He sees both pediatric and adult patients with hip pain for potential joint preservation surgery.

Dr. Raju is an associate professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Division of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

Professional memberships include the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, Société Internationale de Chirurgie Orthopédique et de Traumatologie, the AO Foundation and Indian Orthopaedic Association.

Dr. Raju speaks fluent Tamil and is an avid cricketer.
