Sean Goretzke, MD

Dr. Sean Goretzke is a board-certified pediatric neurologist who cares for children with a wide range of neurological conditions, including head injuries, headaches, and migraines. He specializes in cerebral palsy and concussion care, offering both inpatient and outpatient services so families receive support at every stage of their child's treatment. He sees patients throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area.

Dr. Goretzke helped create the area's only neurology‑led concussion program, bringing together experts in pediatrics, physical therapy, psychology, and neuropsychology. This collaborative approach gives children the best chance for a full recovery. He is dedicated to research that deepens understanding of concussions, including work focused on improving care for young athletes.

As a father of six, Dr. Goretzke understands the concerns parents bring to each visit. He often shares that he wants parents to feel confident and supported, and that every child's journey is unique; something he keeps at the center of his approach to care.

Dr. Goretzke is an assistant professor in the Department of Neurology, Division of Child Neurology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He is also a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Child Neurology Society.
