Michael Wendel, MD

Dr. Michael Wendel is an OB/GYN and maternal and fetal medicine specialist who cares for women with high-risk or complicated pregnancies. For patients with pre-existing or chronic health conditions, he closely monitors them, keeping them as healthy as possible throughout their pregnancies. He also cares for patients who develop problems during their pregnancies, such as early labor, bleeding, and/or high blood pressure.

Dr. Wendel's areas of expertise include fetal growth restriction; prevention of preterm birth; and hypertension in pregnancy. He has also given numerous presentations on topics such as fetal growth disorders; preterm deliveries; postpartum hemorrhage; multifetal gestations; and antenatal fetal assessments.

Dr. Wendel is an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women's Health, Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He is also a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
